By the end of the Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course, the delegate will have a basic understanding of health and safety in a construction environment. They possess the necessary knowledge of site-related hazards to conduct their work safely. They should be able to take responsibility for their safety and help to maintain a safe working environment. Understand how to conduct risk assessments, report any accidents and prepare a method statement. However, recognise the risks of various aspects of the site, including machinery, electricity, noise, manual handling, and vibration. Finally, understand the significance of health and safety signs and PPE. Our CSCS training course provides everything you need.

  • Fatalities, Injuries, and Ill Health: Analysing case studies and statistics to comprehend the impact of workplace incidents and the importance of preventive measures.
  • Slips and Trips: Identifying common causes of slips and trips and implementing strategies to prevent these incidents.
  • Working at Height: Learning safe practices for working at height, including the use of appropriate equipment and fall protection systems.
  • Moving Vehicles and Mobile Plant: Understanding the risks associated with moving vehicles and mobile plant equipment and how to manage these risks effectively.
  • Work Equipment: Ensuring the safe use, maintenance, and inspection of work equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.

Notes:

Course Duration: One day

Delegates must complete and pass a classroom-based exam containing 40 multiple-choice questions relating to the content learned on the day. After you have completed the one-day Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment course and examination, we will arrange for you to sit the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment for Operatives Test at a location convenient to your home address. When you have passed both of these examinations, Tillycroy Services will then apply on your behalf for your CSCS Green Card.
