Lifting Equipment Inspection

Objectives:

To train new employees and/or refresh the skills of current users in the correct methods to use to carry out in-house inspections of a variety of lifting equipment. They will also learn how to identify damage or unsafe equipment. This course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be require to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training program content. Moreover, our trainer will provide the knowledge, instruction, as well as skills necessary for the safe operation of lifting equipment.

This training has both classroom and practical instruction elements.

  • Legislation
  • LOLER & POWER
  • Lifting equipment awareness
  • Lifting equipment terminology
  • Damaged or unsafe equipment
  • Quarantine procedures
  • How to carry out the in-house inspection of lifting equipment
  • Risk Assessment
  • The risk from the use of damaged and unsafe equipment
  • How to complete the required documentation

Notes:

However, candidates will be expected to complete both a written assessment paper and successfully demonstrate their level of practical knowledge.

This training will be delivered at the client’s premises, and a suitable room will be required for the theory session of the course. Moreover, all equipment to be used for the practical sessions must meet industry standards and be certified as fit for use.

Course duration: One day for up to a maximum of six delegates per session
