Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation
Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) – QCF
Electrical defibrillation is well established as an effective therapy for cardiac arrest, the most important determinant of survival being the time from collapse to delivery of the first shock. Today the widespread deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) is considered a realistic strategy for reducing death rates due to heart disease. This qualification is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their basic CPR and life support skills.
