Level 3 First Aid For Sport, Exercise And Fitness
This first aid for sports course qualification is for the sportsperson, coach, spectator, or another involved adult. As well as the basic life support and topics found in most first aid courses, this qualification includes key sports-related incident management content, including sports injury assessment, cease/return to activity decision-making, and safe moving.

- Managing Specialise Sports Kits such as gum shields
- When to and not to use ICe
- Sport-Specific First aid including
- Wind
- Blows to Testicles
- Dead leg
- Possible Compartment Syndrome
- Assisting from The Pitch
- Other Sports-Related First Aid Concerns
This first aid for sports course qualification is designed to provide essential life-saving skills. Typical delivery methods are predominantly practical and the course is assessed by continual observation of candidate performance.
Qualification Requirements:
- 1:12 tutor-to-candidate ratio
- The course must be completed within 7 weeks of starting
- Each delivery session must be a minimum of 2 hours
- Successful completion will result in the candidate gaining the ITC Level 3 Award in First Aid for Sport, Exercise, as well as Fitness with a valid (license to practice) lifetime of 3 years from the date of completion
- The qualification is revalidated by attending another course after 3 years
