As well as the basic life support and illness management topics found in most first aid courses. This qualification includes key sports-related incident management topics. This qualification is recognized throughout the UK.

Scottish Football Association Club Licensing includes the requirement that clubs have at least 1 person on the touchline with all teams. Who has Sports First Aid training, where a Chartered Physiotherapist is not present?
The course is 12 hours in duration.
Topics include; return to play decisions, managing specialist sports kits such as gum shields, when to and not to use ice, and sports-specific first aid such as managing to wind, blows to testicles, dead leg, possible compartment syndrome, assisting from the pitch and other sports-related first aid concerns.
This qualification is designed to provide essential life-saving skills. Typical delivery methods are predominantly practical and the course is assessed by continual observation of candidate performance.
