Infection Control in a Childcare Setting

Our Infection Control in a Childcare Setting course is designed to provide essential knowledge and best practice for preventing the spread of infections. This half-day course is essential for everyone who works in a childcare setting including early years practitioners, nursery staff, childminders care workers, cleaners and educators.  Also anyone working with young children in education or care environments. It provides a comprehensive introduction to the issues surrounding infection control and highlights working practices employed to prevent the spread of infection.

Following this course, attendees should be able to recognise the legal duties of the employee and employer, state the procedures for accident reporting according to COSHH & RIDDOR guidelines as well as learning key strategies to maintain hygiene, manage outbreaks and ensure a safe, healthy environment for children, staff and families.

Delivery:

The course is delivered in a very hands on way with a large number of activities being carried out throughout the session to help the delegates gain subject knowledge and confidence.
