Vehicle Marshall / Banksman

Objectives:

To train candidates in the marshaling, moving, and parking of vehicles. To have a basic understanding of the dangers and their responsibilities as a vehicle marshal/banksman. Have a sound understanding of signs & signals and the different forms of communication.

Course Content:

• Current legislation
• The Role of the Vehicle Marshall
• Pre-operational checks
• Guidance and movement of vehicles
• Maneuver a vehicle to complete a task.
• Reverse a vehicle into a designated area.
• monitor and direct traffic.
• Assessment—theory and practical

Notes:

A room must be provided for the theory session, of the course which is suitable for the number of delegates attending. We will also require a safe area for the candidates to undertake their practical marshaling assessment. A vehicle and driver will also be required for this part of the training.
